好耐都冇組聚過lu~ 為咗搞ocamp d野，今朝去咗旺角Pancake Colors聚。其實今次主要係幫蚩尤作片。蚩尤出貨好快，仲要一聽就知係佢寫，因為真係好賤。

蚩尤玩波子棋都賤過人，明知羸唔到，都死要頂住人地個位，起碼自己唔洗輸先。

之後齊齊去深水涉買組飾。好難match到唔太女仔，所以都係簡單d算，希望med 1會仲意啦﹗

做SSM個時已經同史塔講好考完MB攜眷去海洋公園，結果拖下拖下，搞到我同Raymond去完北京、佢同Wilson去完加納先有得去。不過都好，有得玩武林夏水令。

一開始就去玩過山車。嗚，人地都話咗唔玩咯，你班衰人係要搞喊人先收手。

之後去睇海洋劇場Sea Dreams。呢種強調童真同夢想，咁似迪迪尼嘅﹖@@

食完飯玩咗一陣就去排夏水令。等咗三個鐘，唔好玩。好彩我地有大水槍，同d staff鬥射(其實都係得Raymond一個玩)。嗚，我都係排隊個時想幫手check下d水槍有冇問題，一拎起就俾個staff狂踫。嗚，我無辜架。仲要入到去玩個時個staff認得我，「咦係喎，你有水槍架喎~」係追住我黎射。衰﹗

又濕又累，去金鐘食晚飯。好彩有老豆呢個遙距美食指南，搵到蝦麵店。不過8點未到就賣哂蝦湯同喇沙湯= =，仲要落咗半道閘…好彩隔呢有間越旺，食完碗生牛肉湯河&咸檸七，充電~

Went to health check in an elderly center today near Elements. (And sorry for the late 'cause we was stuck by a MVC*) I was responsible for checking blood pressure. So cool that the elderly I saw were almost all cheerful and positive. But one lady asked me to explain why there's 6mmHg derviation between 2 of her blood pressure readings... = =

Had a walk in Element afterwards. And had cupcakes. Hehe. They tasted better than Bloody Orange, which I had last time.

Went to Mongkok afterwards. Recieved a very special gift. =)

陳洪昭真係一個好醫生。上次為咗慳錢去咗中clinic睇醫生,點知咩都化驗唔到。今次去陳醫生度,好似一般病人咁詳細解釋當然有啦,medical knowledge都輕輕講過下,最仲要係佢有同我分析d藥嘅efficacy問題,又同我分析clinic個醫生有d咩做得未夠好。

拿,今次我地學到d咩呢,醫生要清楚俾病人instruction係好緊要。

如果第時clinical attactment可以跟佢一定可以學到好多做family doctor嘅道理。

Delux trip to The Venetian Resort Macau

Went to Macau for a 2 days trip with my family as a post-exam trip. It was great. We stayed in the Venetian ('cause we watched a documentary on Discovery Channel describing the construction of the Asia's biggest resort) and it's really grand. I dressed like a Venetian for the photos, haha.

This is the main entrance. The golden corridor. Pity they didn't handpainted the ceiling.

I felt like in Venice again, except there are more people in Venice. You know, during exam, I was dying to go to Palace of Versailles again. This hotel, though not as kingly as Versailles, could satisfy me already.

Beauty in Venice XDD

There are no hotel room but 3000 suites in The Venetian resort. I looooove the beds.

After a hard day of walking (because the hotel is too big), the first thing to do is to jump onto the bed. XD

I am never picky on makeup or this womanish stuff. But I did try to wear a morning gown and make up in the dressing room.

Dad gave $100. And I played 5 games (only losing 1 game) to make $500. I am so smart. Bwahahahah!

Take away dessert. Hehe. Had it before I slept in the suite. Even Dr Ho Hung Sun likes the coffee of that coffee shop. But you won't believe one cinemmon roll with homemade strawberry jam only costs $8.

Apart from the casino and the main entrance, the shopping mall is very Venetian too. There are cannals and gondonals.

Many shops have not opened yet. But what's cool about the mall is that even so they would decarate the contruction broads with some scupltures in collide with the theme of the shops.

After lunch, went back to the St. Marco's square in search of the Venetian. Found an volinist playing my favorite All I Ask of You. This melts my heart. Aww... ><

Remain to be boyish sometimes too.

Finally catch the Venetians at the cannal before I left. ^^

Of course, every trip my family had is about eating. This time is not an exception.

Found an interesting garden at the center of the town in the government building before dinner. =)

Breakfast (I know it doesn't look like so) in the casino is unexpectedly good too.

Lunch at the Venetian. We had a South Asian buffet. The time slot is 11am to 5pm. Longest buffet I have ever seen. @@ And the food quality is much much much better than I have expected.

Had a walk at the Fishery's Pier before we left for Hong Kong. It's really dumb compared to the Venetian resort. But I did took some interesting photos there.

Ice skating

自從study leave就好像很久沒有好好地一起，今日考完PFOS便去了沙田吃午飯。明明明天還要考PCAR的說，我們真是奢侈。

PCAR真是一團糟的東西…Concept好像只有幾個，卻很混亂…記得Prof Huang Yu在最後一堂說「Calcium is my favourite ion」，今天我可以說「Calcium is not my friend, and potassium hates me」

幹什麼考試好像沒完沒了，辛苦衝完可怕的PFOS，還有PCAR和下星期的終極「大佬」MB。一個星期五天，有四天要考final，從沒這樣辛苦過，精神上…體力上…救命﹗我要暑假﹗﹗﹗

So it came the scary OSCE. No matter you are in the 9:30 section or 16:30 section, all students have to register at 8:15. Then the morning group and the afternoon group are sent into 2 halls where we were trapped and waited. It's the mental stress that makes it more scary.

Lucky I'm the first one to be examed. Just like the spot test back in December, my name appeared on the top of the list again. Student OSCE no. - A1. Yay~

The 1st station is blood pressure taking. Good is that the examier is Dr Vlantis, my human structure SSM tutor. Bad is that I found it very hard to say the same content in Cantonese and English at the same time. To make it worse, I couldn't hear the patient's Karoffo sound at all. And when Dr Vlantis asked me questions, I was too nervous. Aww... so screwed in BP station. (And also MCQ station.) Hope Dr Vlantis will not fail me. > <

我要想的很簡單(當然我也知道有難道)…不想一次又一次地失望…
你已經對我很好，但為何我還覺得未夠﹖

平時一切我都可以吞下去，自己也可以快樂地過。但也許今次我想賭賭氣，沒有忍，看你要多久才察覺我不高興。結果又一再重複…往往令我不高興的都不是原本的那件事，而是你一臉無動於衷的樣子。

是苦是甜，許多事我都會願意跟你一起過，但只是要求你偶爾停一停來，回頭看一下我。我不習慣把一切都寫在我的臉上，但我已經表達了許多。有時，許多事不必說出來。其實只要是你肯用心體會一下，我想一切都不算太難看出來。

聽得太好，自己不自覺地有所期待。期待是狡猾的東西，成功的話會變成信心，失敗卻是傷心。可能我是在無理取鬧吧…你已經對我很好很好，但也阻止不了…，總之…在一切都流失之前吧…

The Ken Chi Fan Club great work!!! Sure all the 55 people had a great time. Thanks for Rachelle for organizing all the things and thanks Alex for reserving the best seats for us. But it took some much bribes for me in order not to be thrown to the mountaintop away and alone... Hehe, 1st row rocks!

As the number one fan of Ken Chi fan club, as well as the material promotion officer, I made some banners after school... in the soc room, lol. I only had an hour so it was a bit rough... but haha.

In the Shaw Sing Con, we watched 洪卓立, cute.

Ken Chi Fan Club went to Fo Tan to "sik siu". Thank you my dear for taking me all the way home. You shouldn't have done that... =) Haha, because Kolwoon people are united! XD But thanks x a billion, it's the best walk we had. And it really lessens the worry that I told you days before.

A day in A&E

I'm so lucky to get some great SSM topics this year! For my topical SSM, the topic is "Major Trauma in Hong Kong". I missed the last meeting. So, today, I met the professors in the A&E department today. Haha, yeah, I'm Yoyo the chocolate biscuit.

Arrived 1.5 hour earlier with Alex. Formal dressing... put the white coat on... wear the name tag... hang the stethoscope around my neck... walking confidently in A&E... that makes me feel like a doctor. We were shown around and met 2 patients (one with head injury and one with foot injury). We used the microphone to call the patient's name and did the translation for the professor during history taking. Had some discussion. And met a 5 days old baby with neonatal jaundice.

So, after everyone had arrived and shown around. Professor said, "Now, 2 of you in a group. Grab a patient's profile, find an empty room and call the patient in to interview them."

No guideline. No assistance. No doctor will watch you.

It's not like history taking in my last human structure SSM (neck lumps)... merely doing translation.

For those who are not doing medicine, you never know how harsh it is for a med 1 student to do this. Our knowledge is so so so so limited that we may not even know what normal means. Not to mention the wisdom to face the a whole wide range of problems encountered in A&E. Our communication skill is fragile. That makes history taking difficult. Presenting a well-constructed history is so hard.

Alex and I had a patient with serve headache that affects vision and hearing. After presenting the history to the professor, it surprised me that what he worried about is not his headache but his doctor shopping.

As for Michelle and Annie, very lucky that they got a patient with neck lump. So they knew what to ask from the experience of our last SSM. But poor Steven Ling had to face a patient alone...

It was a quiet day in A&E. Though we didn't see any trauma case, we had a great time. It was really an invaluable experience to goof around in A&E. Med 1 is really the best year - Patients respect you, considering you are one of the doctor; yet, doctors will not scold you even if you give a wrong answer or cannot give out an answer. "Ngoooo... Med 1 jaar?"

Mineral water or green tea?!

It may look like a bottle of mineral water at the first glance. Yet, once you twisted the cap... Pop! It turned into green tea! Haha, so cute!

Walked from Jordan to TST. It was a great day. But well, step back a bit to think... ... well, it isn't something important, maybe it's because we have not seen for too long. But that provokes me to think of another worry. Glad that I can say it out. And I finally asked it... I know it didn't make both of us feel well but still I'm really glad that we can talk to each other frankly. =[

Natalie's 20th birthday!

Finally arrived the restaurant lu~ Yeah~ Natalie's 20th birthday! People were so overreacting, lol.

Such a long table... So many people... I didn't realize those at the other end of the table attended the dinner until the end XDD

Needed to rush home for catching the flight to Japan. So sweet and nice =] but lost my hair clip and broke my watch today. =[

The "gag"est lessons

Today's lessons... haha, probably the most "gag" ones in my first medical year XD

First, is PHOM lab - renal function.

What you see above is not beer... XDDD

Well, ok. What happened actually was that we were divided into groups of 5. And we did different things and tested the change in our urine.

student 1 - drink water
student 2 - drink saline
student 3 - drink beer and water
student 4 - water restriction
student 5 - well, the poorest one. Need to collect urine of 24 hours. And then drink creatine.

I was lucky enough to be student 4. But it was still harsh because of my sore throat. Renee, Rachelle and I were no. 4 too and we found it quite difficult to give... some secretion after 3 hours of no water drinking. So cool that the guys got iced beer >< ... and were allowed to get drunk officially during lesson XD

It was quite gross for all of us to pee into that plastic cups and put them onto the bench at first. But when you had to do it once for 40 mins, and did overally 4 times, it felt alright. Well, I guess this is another preparation for our clinical year when we need to face all these gross things...

And in the afternoon we had a PFOS practical class. Acutally, I considered it as an art lesson in which we did cut and paste. What differ a medical year one student and a primary one student is that... the material we did on was photocopy of DNA instead of cute cartoon drawings. Really really so hea. All we need to do was pairing up the chromosome pairs according to their structures and dye patterns. I did it with Man Chung. Haha, "Wah! These 2 are really good friends la! ... These 2 chromosomes don't seem to know each other well wor..." Haha, Man Chung you are so cute.

Maroon 5 concert!

At first, I wanted to buy the Maroon 5 tickets to stimulate me to study harder for the Deadly March. But oh well...

Anyway, nice concert indeed. Great singing. Though it was a bit short, it was funner that I thought it would be. Maroon 5!!! It was really great to hold up the hands high in the air and just simply enjoy the music.

And one point interesting was that Chan Ka Yuk and I were sitting at block A whereas Ball Ball, Ronald, Jeffery and Wayne were in block C. And then when I left the concert I bumped into Tammy and her cousin. Haha, really long time no see. And a few days later she MSNed me and asked "does one of your friends wear thick framed glasses? I sat right next to them." Hahaha. OMG, Wayne, your pair of glasses is such a symbol. XD
